Biography of Barcelona

FC Barcelona, which is also known as Fútbol Club Barcelona, was established on November 29, 1899 and plays their home games in Camp Nou in Barcelona which has a capacity of 98,772 people, is a Spanish football club playing in the Spanish La Liga.

The team is nicknamed L'equip blaugrana meaning team, Culers or Culés meaning supporters and Blaugranes or Azulgranas which also means supporters.

They have won the La Liga 19 times, in 1929, 1944-1945, 1947-1948, 1948-1949, 1951-1952, 1952-1953, 1958-1959, 1959-1960, 1973-1974, 1984-1985, 1990-1991, 1991-1992, 1992-1993, 1993-1994, 1997-1998, 1998-1999, 2004-2005, 2005-2006 and 2008-2009.

They have also won the Copa del Rey a record 25 times, the Copa de la Liga a record 2 times, Supercopa de España a record 8 times and the Copa Eva Duarte a record 4 times.
