Brazilian footballer Elano Blumer was born on 14 June, 1981 in São Paulo, Brazil. He is currently playing in Premier League for Manchester City as a midfielder. Elano started his football career Guarani youth club but soon joined Inter de Limeira youth club in 2000. After the short spell at Inter de Limeria he joined the senior squad of Santos. Elano soon gained a reputation as a talented goal scoring midfielder. He was the part of the Santos side which won the Campeonato Brasileiro in 2004. He spend 3 years with Santos before moving to the Ukrainian side FC Shakhtar Donetsk in 2005. On August 2, 2007 Manchester City paid £8m for Elano, who signed a 4 year contract. He made his debut for City in a match against West Ham United. Elano is also the part of Brazil National team and he made his debut for them in 2004.
