Patrice Evra Biography

During his teenage years, Evra began his career in his early teens as a professional striker for Saint-Germain's youth club in Paris. Patrice Evra never got a professional indenture, but he was noticed by Italian-side Marsala’s scout, and he received a contract from the club. After he joined the club, he added stars and stripes to the team by scoring 6 goals in 27 total appearances while playing as a proficient striker for the team. In league two, the striker returned to France for Nice team. In his initial few football matches, he played in centre forward.

But unfortunately, he could not subsist in the centre forward position due to severe injuries and was made to play as the left back player during a match against Stade Lavallois team. Later on, after Evra played several matches, the manager of the team, Sandro Salvioni could recognize his immense skills utilized and used him in team defense. The rest of the season, Evra juggled between the two positions as per the instructions of the manager Salvioni.
Evra switched to AS Monaco as team was extremely impressed by the defensive efforts of the player and wanted to hire the player at any amount. In 2004, Evra played for AS Monaco for the first time but lost the game against FC Porto by 3–0.

In 2005, Evra was nominated for captainship on for various matches. Later, in 10 January 2006, Evra signed a three and a half year contract for Manchester United. He joined the team after receiving a transferring amount of £5.5 million approx. from his previous team AS Monaco. On14 January 2006, Evra made a debut for the team Manchester United and with a 3-1 defeat to the team Manchester City in the Premier League, and was substituted after the intervals.

On 22 January 2006, the team Manchester United defeated Liverpool by 1-0, which was the first home debut of Evra. Initially, he was not very adept to perform well in this English sport. But later on, in the season period of 2006-07, he worked hard and improved his performances and became a regular first-team member of the team.

A very remarkable match of his life can be considered as the Premiership match against Everton of 29 November 2006 at Old Trafford, where he scored his first goal on behalf of the club. United's 07-08 season made him the Evra became a key member of defence, and on 12th of June, 2008, he signed an extension contract of four years more, playing for the team till the month of June, 2012.
