Gareth Southgate was born on 3 September 1970 in Watford, England. He is the manager of English Premier League side Middlesbrough since 2006. He was a professional football player and started plying football with Crystal Palace in 1988. He remained with the team till 1995 and after that he joined Aston Villa. He helped Villa team in winning several crucial matches but in 2001 he moved to joined Middlesbrough. He remained with the Club for five years making 160 appearances managing to score 4 goals for the club. After that he retired from the professional football and joined Middlesbrough team as a Manager in 2006. In his first season in charge, Southgate guided Middlesbrough to finish 12th in the Premier League. His biggest win so far as a manager was a 8-1 victory against Manchester City in May 2008.
