Canadian goaltender of Ice Hockey Christopher Osgood was born on November 26, 1972 in Alberta near a place called Peace River. He started his career with Detroit Red Wings, and after that played with the teams like New York Islanders and the St. Louis Blues. During the 1994-1995 seasons, the professional goaltender served as a backup for Mike Vernon.
After Vernon was transferred to San Jose Sharks in 1997, Osgood got a good position in the Detroit Red Wings as a lead goaltender. He remained in the team till 2001, and then he was replaced by the goaltender Dominik Hasek. From 2002 to 2004, the goaltender had a great time with the Blues and there he was the primary goaltender of the team. In 2005, he was again taken in by the Detroit Red Wings where he joined as a Primary Goaltender after facing initial struggles.
