Brett Lebda, a professional hockey player is a defenseman who has started practicing ice hockey at his early days. Born in Buffalo, Illinois, currently this talented defenseman is playing for well-known team Detroit Red Wings and getting lots of adulation for his inherent talent. While discussing on his professional career, Brett Lebda played in college level at Notre dame University in CCHA conference. In 2001-02, Brett appeared as a fresh player, sets school record just in 109 penalty minutes along with 26 points (7-19-26) as a defenseman of CCHA first-year, and got the honor of CCHA All-Rookie team for playing well. During four years of Brett’s career, he played approximate 152 games at Notre Dame and tied for fourth on school’s list. While Brett was playing for junior national team, during that period, Brett had done wonderful job by scoring two goals. Therefore, he helped his own country to reach at the fifth place by defeating another reputed ice hockey team Czech Republic in World Championship, 2002. After few years, age wise, he got chance in the senior team and able to acquire the tag “All-CCHA performer”. Moreover, he got the award of league’s top defenseman trophy after playing 39 games, Grand Rapids Griffin signed scoring 24 points (6-18-24) .After conclusion of senior season, Lebda to the amateur tryout, and this happened for remainder of 2003-04 season and the playoffs. Then, on 21 July 2004, a multi-year contract came into his hand by Detroit Red Wings and he agreed to join in the team. During the professional period, Brett had spent the whole year with his team Detroit Red Wing’s AHL affiliate, Griffins. He completed the rookie with total 12 points. His debut with Detroit on 5 October 2005, Brett scored first NHL goal against the team Patrick lalim and his team Red Wings own the match by 5-1. In 2008 season, Lebda played superbly and helped Detroit Red Wings to win Stanley Cup.
