The Pittsburgh Steelers, which was established in 1933 and plays their games in Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a professional football team playing in the American Football Conference (AFC) of the National Football League (NFL).
The Pittsburgh Penguins has won a total of 6 Super Bowl Championships, 1974 (IX), 1975 (X), 1978 (XIII), 1979 (XIV), 2005 (XL), 2008 (XLIII), making them the 4th most successful franchise in NFL history. They hae also won the Conference Championships a total of 7 times, the latest coming during the 2008 season, and the Divisional Championships a total of 19 times, the last also coming in 2008. Overall, they have made the playoffs a toatl of 25 times, the latest coming during the 2008 season.
From 1933-1963, they played their home games at the Forbes Field. They then played their home games at the Pitt Stadium in 1958 and again from 1963-1969 before moving to the Three Rivers Stadium from 1970-2000. They moved to their current home field, the Heinz Field, starting the 2001 season.
Their team colors are Black, gold and white. Their mascot is named Steely McBeam
